Start.
Leatherique was used on the seating. At start of detail I applied Leatherique and came back to the leather at the end of the detail, about 10 hours later.
The dirt and other issues lifted off simply and the client stated the leather felt brand new. :)

Drivers front fender was repainted before initial purchase.
Neither the original owner or the new owner (both present) knew about it.
This is far more common than you might think and why you should NEVER purchase a vehicle at night.

No shot after detail of engine bay (but fully dressed when completed)

The level of scratches were extreme.

During this detail the plastic lens was polished, but due to deep pits it should be replaced.

The lack of depth in full sun is unfortunate.

Tape was used to make the pad usage decision. A Hex-Logic orange pad was used initially, but it wasn't quite up to the task. A Lake Country purple foamed wool came to the rescue, though the deepest scratches had to remain.
Better to be safe than irreparably damage someone's pride & joy.
Bottle of compound on it's side to simplify application.

Initial cut on right side with Hex-Logic orange pad.

Initial cut on left side with LC foamed wool. Same Meguairs Diamond Cut.

It is difficult to estimate each pads response to polish/compound against each paint/brand/year.
From the above shots, the foamed wool pad left minor surface haze, while the Hex-Logic left mild swirls.
I love the Hex-Logic pad system, but it wasn't up to the task against this car/color.

Taping off the edges of each fender. The upper lip only runs so far down each side.

Rear bumper examples.

Hood examples. Lower portion is cut, center is not.

Ready for final polishing.

Polishing completed. Note large fan. The temp that day was about 98.

Completed waxing. All told, this was a 12hour detail.

Majestic.

The C6 Corvette is an extremely impressive vehicle.
I believe this one puts out 400+hp.
During this exterior detail I was required to make the decision to not attempt to
remove all defects due to the possibility of damaging the paint due to the depth of many scratches.
Even still, the result is incredible.
I could have done many more aspects of this car, but after 12 hours lack of daylight prevailed.
Extreme scratches require intense effort to remove and polish to this level, alone.
